Scouting is an inclusive movement, meaning everyone is welcome regardless of their personal circumstances or background. Here at south Derbyshire scouts we want to give everyone the opportunity to explore, grow achieve new opportunities with the support an individual may need. We have an experienced inclusion support team to ensure your young person can reach their full potential within their scouting experience.

The support we offer can vary as to what is needed and is tailored to the individual. Whether that be for the leaders or for the young person. We can offer one-to-one sessions with the young person to enable them to feel comfortable and confident or an overall talk to the section about disabilities and diversities to help the other members of the group understand more about inclusion which will also cover most of, if not all of the badge criteria for the disabilities awareness badge.
